• Patm: Atmospheric pressure at specified altitude (Pa) 
• Pvapor: The vapor pressure of the fluid at the present temperature (Pa) 
• Hgeo: Pressure loss in the suction line (m) 
• Hi: Water level's vertical position in relation to the pump (m)
